Overview
Occupational Medicine is a specialized field of medicine which focuses on the health and safety of employees in the workplace. It aims to reduce work-related injuries, illnesses, and deaths by applying principles of public health, ergonomics, epidemiology, toxicology, economics, and other relevant sciences. Occupational Medicine practitioners are trained to identify and prevent workplace hazards, to evaluate and treat the medical and psychological aspects of workplace injuries and diseases, and to manage workplace health and safety programs. The goal is to create safe, healthy, and productive work environments for all employees.
