Nervous System
The nervous system is an incredibly important system in the body; it is composed of billions of nerve cells that send information throughout the body to coordinate bodily functions and responses. The nervous system is composed of two major parts: the central nervous system (CNS) and the peripheral nervous system (PNS). The CNS consists of the brain and spinal cord, and the PNS consists of all the nerves connected to the CNS and feeds information back to the CNS. It is the control center of the body and helps regulate responses to stimuli, coordinate voluntary and involuntary movements, and it also plays a key role in cognition and behavior. It is an essential part of the body and it is involved in many activities, including communication, perception, learning, memory, and more.
