Nerve Conduction Study
A Nerve Conduction Study (NCS) is a specialized test used to measure the speed and strength of electrical signals travelling along a particular nerve. It is used to evaluate symptoms such as numbness, tingling, and weakness. It can be used to diagnose damage to a nerve caused by many different diseases, including diabetes, carpal tunnel syndrome, peripheral neuropathy, and Guillain-Barre syndrome. An NCS is a safe and non-invasive procedure that can accurately monitor the health of a wide range of nerves. It can also be used to evaluate the effectiveness of treatments aimed at restoring nerve function.
