Antenatal Care
Antenatal Care is the care a mother receives during pregnancy. It involves regular visits to a medical professional for check ups, advice and support on dietary, lifestyle and other matters. Antenatal Care is essential for the health and well-being of both the mother and baby. It is important to ensure the mother stays healthy and is able to cope with the physical and emotional changes of pregnancy. During antenatal care, checks are made to ensure the baby is developing normally and that any potential problems can be identified and treated. Antenatal care also involves vaccinations, blood tests and ultrasound scans to detect any abnormalities in order to ensure the best possible outcome for both mother and baby.
