Overview
Drug discovery is the process of identifying and developing new medicines to treat and prevent diseases. It is a complex and costly process that involves the use of scientific and technological advances to identify novel targets for therapeutic intervention, develop and test new pharmacological or biological agents, and ultimately bring a medicine to market. Drug discovery has revolutionized modern medicine, providing new ways to manage and treat a wide range of medical conditions, from cancer to viral infections. Drug discovery has also led to improved diagnostics and earlier intervention, which can significantly improve patient outcomes and reduce the costs associated with diagnosis and treatment.
