Progressive-relapsing Multiple Sclerosis
Progressive-relapsing multiple sclerosis (PRMS) is an uncommon form of multiple sclerosis that features an initial period of neurologic deterioration followed by relapses, or flare-ups, of new symptoms or a worsening of existing symptoms. It is a serious and debilitating condition that affects a person’s quality of life. There is no cure for PRMS, but treatment plans and medications can help manage symptoms and slow the progression of the disease. Early diagnosis and treatment of PRMS is important to prevent permanent disability and improve quality of life.
