Ldl Cholesterol

Low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol is a type of cholesterol found in the blood. High levels of LDL cholesterol are linked to an increased risk of heart disease. LDL cholesterol is often referred to as “bad” cholesterol, as it can accumulate in the walls of arteries, leading to a narrowing of the arteries and an increased risk of a blockage. LDL cholesterol can be lowered through lifestyle changes such as diet and exercise, as well as through the use of medications. It is important to maintain healthy LDL cholesterol levels in order to reduce the risk of heart disease and other cardiovascular conditions.
