Medical Ethics
Medical Ethics is the branch of ethics concerned with the moral principles of medical practice and the implications of medical decisions for individuals, families, and society. Its purpose is to protect and promote the health of patients and the public by providing guidance for medical professionals for making decisions in difficult medical situations. Medical Ethics is important for medical professionals as it helps them understand and uphold their ethical responsibilities in the medical field. It also encourages the development of insight, sensitivity, and good judgment in dealing with patients, the public, and the medical profession. Medical Ethics has many applications and can be used to assess the appropriateness of complicated medical decisions, ensure patient confidentiality and autonomy, and create policies that protect vulnerable populations.
