Overview
Lipid profiles are a set of tests used to measure the levels of various lipids, such as cholesterol and triglycerides, in the blood. They are important indicators of overall health, as high levels of these lipids can increase the risk of cardiovascular disease, stroke, and other cardiovascular complications. Lipid profiling can also help doctors evaluate the effectiveness of lifestyle changes or treatments aimed at reducing lipid levels. It can also provide insight into the metabolism of fats, which can help diagnose and treat certain metabolic disorders.
