Lipid Functions
Lipids are fatty molecules with important functions in the body. They provide energy, act as structural components of cell membranes and fulfill a wide range of vital roles in the body. Lipids are involved in many critical processes, including hormone production, cell communication, and digestion. They are also essential for the absorption of vitamins, fatty acids, and other nutrients. Additionally, they play an important role in the immune system and help regulate inflammation. Without lipids, many of the basic processes in the body would not be possible.
