Aquatic Ecology

Aquatic ecology is the study of the interactions between living organisms and the aquatic environment. It deals with the physical, chemical, and biological features of aquatic ecosystems and the complex relationships between them. Aquatic ecology helps us understand the structure, dynamics and functioning of the aquatic systems that support life on Earth. It also has many practical applications, such as the development of strategies for controlling water pollution, the restoration of damaged ecosystems, and the management of resources for sustainable aquaculture and fisheries. Aquatic ecology is essential for the conservation of healthy aquatic ecosystems, which provide invaluable services to humans and the entire biosphere.
