Irritable Bowel Syndrome
Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) is a common, long-term disorder that affects the digestive system. Symptoms of IBS can include abdominal pain, bloating, diarrhea, constipation, and discomfort. IBS can have a significant impact on quality of life and may require lifestyle changes and/or medications to help manage symptoms. Although the exact cause of IBS is unknown, stress, diet and toxin overload are thought to be contributing factors. Treatment options can include diet and lifestyle changes, medications, probiotics, and stress management. By identifying and managing triggers, IBS sufferers may be able to reduce the frequency and severity of their symptoms.
