Colitis

Colitis is inflammation of the inner lining of the large intestine (colon). Common symptoms of colitis include abdominal pain, diarrhea, fatigue, and weight loss. Depending on the type of colitis, treatment may include antibiotics, anti-inflammatory medications, or surgery. Colitis is a serious condition, and if left untreated, can result in long-term complications or even lead to life-threatening conditions such as sepsis. Early diagnosis and treatment of colitis can help reduce the risks of these complications and improve quality of life.
