Overview

Cellulitis is a type of skin infection caused by bacteria. It is characterized by redness, swelling, and pain in the affected area. It can affect any part of the body, but commonly appears on the face, neck, shoulders, arms, and legs. If left untreated, cellulitis can lead to serious complications such as tissue damage and even death. Cellulitis is treated with antibiotics, and early diagnosis and prompt treatment are important to prevent further complications. Proper hygiene and wound care may help prevent the development of cellulitis. Cellulitis is a serious and potentially life-threatening bacterial infection, so it is important to be aware of the signs and take preventive measures.
