Vascular Anatomy
Vascular anatomy is the study of the blood vessels in the human body. It is an important sub-discipline of anatomy and physiology, as the blood vessels are responsible for providing oxygen and nutrients to all parts of the body, as well as removing waste products. Knowledge of vascular anatomy also allows healthcare practitioners to accurately diagnose and treat diseases and disorders of the circulatory system. Vascular anatomy plays a major role in cardiology, surgery, and radiology and is essential to providing safe and effective treatments.
