Body Height
Body height is an important factor in determining overall health and is the measurement of a person’s standing height. It is determined by subtracting the measurement of the sitting height from the standing height. Height is influenced by genetics and nutrition, and is related to strength, body composition, and physical performance. Health risks associated with height include obesity, cardiovascular disease, and diabetes. Body height is used in many areas of health care and research, including studies of growth and development, risk assessment and prediction, and population health. It is also used in the workplace, such as in the service industry, where it can affect job performance.
