Anthropometry
Anthropometry is the scientific study of the measurement of the human body. It is used to measure the size, shape, and proportions of body parts, and to quantify physical characteristics such as weight and strength. Anthropometry is important for many applications, such as for medical diagnoses, industrial design, and ergonomics. It is widely used in clinical medicine and physical anthropology to assess growth and development, diagnose disease, and evaluate physical health. It is also important in assessing human performance and physical abilities, in activities such as sports and the military. By measuring physical characteristics, anthropometry can be used to improve the design of helmets, vehicles, furniture, and other objects for maximum safety and comfort.
