Anatomy

Anatomy is the scientific study of the structure and organization of living organisms and their parts. It examines the form and the relationship of organs and systems within a body. It has a wide range of applications in the medical sciences, including diagnosis, prognosis, prevention, and treatment of disease. Anatomy allows us to understand the functioning of the body on a physiological, biochemical, and cellular level, as well as its relationship to the environment. By studying anatomy, we can gain an appreciation for the incredible complexity and interdependence of the body’s systems.
