Adipocytes

Adipocytes are specialised cells found in the fat tissues of mammals. They are responsible for storing and releasing energy in the form of lipids, which is then used to provide energy to cells and tissues. Adipocytes play an important role in the regulation of energy balance, as they help to maintain blood glucose levels and support proper hormonal regulation. Additionally, they are key components in the regulation of body weight, as they can both store energy in the form of lipids and release it to be used by other cells and tissues. By doing so, adipocytes help to maintain homeostasis within the body, thereby promoting human health.
