Aortic
Stenosis Aortic Stenosis is a heart condition that involves narrowing of the aortic valve opening. This narrowing prevents the aortic valve from fully opening and causes a decrease in blood flow to the heart, leading to weakened pumping action. If left untreated, aortic stenosis can cause symptomatic heart failure and even death. Aortic stenosis is usually treated through medication and lifestyle changes, although in some cases minimally invasive techniques such as balloon valvuloplasty and transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) can also be used. With the advances in medical technology, aortic stenosis can be diagnosed and treated early, thereby increasing the chances of a successful outcome.
