Acute Heart Failure
Acute heart failure is a medical condition caused by the inability of the heart muscle to adequately pump blood efficiently; leading to fluid build-up in the lungs and other body parts. The main symptoms include shortness of breath, chest pain, fatigue, and swelling in the legs, feet, and abdomen. Acute heart failure is a serious medical condition that can be life-threatening if not promptly diagnosed and treated. Treatment of acute heart failure includes lifestyle changes such as quitting smoking, medications, and possibly hospitalization. Early diagnosis and effective treatment can improve patient outcomes and slow the progression of the disease.
