Sleep Disorder
Sleep disorder is a condition that affects an individual’s ability to get enough restful sleep and to maintain a healthy sleep-wake cycle. It can have a wide range of causes, such as stress, anxiety, poor diet, medical illnesses, and bad sleep habits. Symptoms of sleep disorder include difficulty falling asleep, difficulty staying asleep, feeling tired after sleeping, and feeling unrefreshed upon awakening. Lack of sleep can have serious consequences on physical and mental health, including difficulty concentrating and focusing, irritability and depression, and an increased risk of motor vehicle accidents. Treatment typically involves lifestyle changes, such as reducing stress and avoiding caffeine, as well as medical interventions, such as prescription medications. Sleep disorder is a serious health condition, and it can be effectively managed.
