Mental Disorders
Mental disorders are psychological conditions that cause significant disturbance in behaviour, feelings, thoughts, and social functioning. They can include anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, personality disorders, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Mental disorders are very common, with one in five adults experiencing some form of one in their lifetime. Treatment for these conditions includes therapy, medication, or a combination of both. Managing mental health is an important part of overall wellbeing, and early intervention can prevent further decline and improve a person's quality of life.
