Traditional Chinese Medicine
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is an ancient system of healing that originated in China over 3000 years ago. It is based on a holistic approach to health and healing, aiming to create balance in body and mind. TCM treats the whole person and focuses on the underlying cause of illness, rather than just the physical symptoms. It is based on the principles of Yin and Yang - two opposing yet complementary forces that together create harmony and health. TCM uses a variety of methods such as acupuncture, herbal medicines, mind-body exercises, and diet and lifestyle advice to address a wide range of physical, mental and emotional health issues. It is now widely used throughout the world to help treat a variety of conditions such as chronic pain, digestive disorders, insomnia, headaches and fatigue. It is becoming increasingly popular as an effective alternative to conventional medical treatments.
