Microbial Evolution
Microbial evolution is a term used to describe the scientific process by which microbial communities are able to adapt, change and diversify over time in response to their environment. It is one of the fundamental forces that shape our world and drive the incredible diversity of life on Earth. Microbial evolution is important because it allows us to understand the underlying principles of how living organisms evolve and adapt to their environment. It has also been used to develop many products, such as antibiotics and genetically modified organisms, that have had a major impact on our society.
