Gram Negative Bacteria
Gram Negative Bacteria are a type of bacteria with a thin cell wall that are found in many different habitats. These bacteria are of particular significance since they are resistant to many antibiotics and other drugs, making them a major cause of hospital-acquired and communicable infections. Gram Negative Bacteria also have an important role in the environment, being responsible for the breakdown of organic matter and the production of energy and nutrients for other organisms. In addition, Gram Negative Bacteria are used in biotechnology for the production of drugs, vaccines, enzymes, and biofuels.
