Tumor Resection
Tumor resection is a surgical procedure used to remove a tumor and some of the surrounding healthy tissue from a patient's body. It is an important part of cancer treatment, as it can help to reduce the size of a tumor and prevent it from spreading to other areas. In addition, it can allow for diagnostic testing of the tumor, so that treatments can be tailored to the specific type of cancer. Tumor resection can also improve the patient's quality of life, by relieving symptoms caused by the tumor.
