Sertoli Cells
Sertoli Cells are a type of cell found in the testes of mammals. They are essential for proper sexual development and functioning of the male reproductive system by providing essential support and nutrition to the developing sperm cells. They are also involved in regulating testosterone production, which is important for normal growth and development. Sertoli Cells also play a role in stimulating the growth of the ducts that transport the sperm cells, as well as the production of a special fluid which is important for sperm motility. As such, Sertoli Cells are critical for male fertility and the production of healthy sperm cells.
