Paracrine Signaling
Paracrine signaling is a form of communication between cells in which a biochemical signal is released from a cell and binds to a nearby target cell. This type of signaling plays an important role in many biological processes such as embryonic development, wound healing and tissue remodeling, and in the regulation of immune and inflammatory responses. Paracrine signaling is a key component of homeostasis, as it allows cells to rapidly respond to changes in their environment and adjust various cellular functions accordingly.
