Dysplasia
Dysplasia is a condition in which the normal growth pattern of cells and tissue is disturbed and replaced by abnormal development. It is commonly associated with conditions such as cancer, where the cells grow and multiply without normal controls. Dysplasia can also occur in normal cells, in which case it is known as benign. In some cases, dysplasia can lead to an increased risk of developing cancer, and it is also associated with developmental issues such as intellectual disabilities. Dysplasia is an important indicator of health, and early diagnosis and treatment can help reduce the risk of cancer or other complications. It is also used to monitor the progress of certain treatments, such as chemotherapy. By helping to identify abnormal growth, dysplasia can help in the early detection, diagnosis, and treatment of various conditions.
