Cytoplasm

Cytoplasm is the gel-like material that fills the interior of cells. It is composed of water, salts, proteins and other molecules. Cytoplasm is essential for the functioning of cells and is involved in many cellular processes such as metabolism, growth, and the movement of molecules and organelles. It also provides structural support for the cell and helps to control the movement of materials in and out of the cell. Additionally, cytoplasm plays a role in cell signaling, allowing cells to sense and respond to their environment.
