Cell Cultures
Cell cultures are systems for growing cells in vitro, or outside of their natural environment. Cells in culture are typically derived from tissue samples, or from cell lines. Cells cultures are an important tool for biological and medical research as they provide a simplified model for better understanding cellular functions and activities in the human body. Cell cultures can also be used to study the effects of various treatments and drugs on cells, to study cell growth and differentiation, to develop cellular therapies, and to produce proteins, viruses, and vaccines. As such, cell cultures are crucial for advancing our understanding of the human body and disease, and for the development of new drugs and treatments.
