Bone Marrow Cells
Bone marrow cells are specialized cells that produce red and white blood cells and platelets. These cells are essential for life as they help maintain the body's immunity and stop us from getting sick. They also play a role in healing damaged tissue. Bone marrow cells can also be used in transplantation to replace unhealthy cells in the body and to treat cancers such as leukemia. By transplanting bone marrow cells, it is possible to save the life of a patient who would otherwise have no other option. As such, bone marrow cells are an integral and invaluable part of modern medicine.
