Bone Deformation
Bone deformation is the abnormal change in shape or size of bone due to mechanical or biochemical causes. It can have a serious impact on physical and functional abilities, such as increased risk of fracture. Bone deformation is commonly caused by genetic disorders, certain types of tumor, or chronic diseases like rheumatoid arthritis. It can also occur due to trauma, poor nutrition, and lack of physical activity. Treatment of bone deformities may include physical therapy and medication, as well as surgery to correct the abnormality. In some cases, orthopedic braces are used to support and protect the affected bones while they heal. As bone deformity can be a source of chronic pain, it is important to seek prompt medical attention to prevent permanent damage and maintain quality of life.
