Nuclear Pharmacy

Nuclear pharmacy is the practice of preparing and dispensing radioactive drugs. Nuclear pharmacists work closely with radiologists, physicians, and nuclear medicine specialists to formulate and dispense the appropriate dose of radioactive drugs for imaging, therapy, and diagnostic purposes. Nuclear pharmacy plays an essential role in nuclear medicine, as it enables the development and utilization of nuclear tracers and radioactive drugs, which can help to diagnose and treat a wide range of diseases such as cancer, heart disease, and neurological disorders. The accuracy and precision of nuclear pharmacy help to ensure the safety of patients and minimize risks associated with radiation exposure.
