Epidemiology of Resistance

Epidemiology of resistance is the study of the spread of infection and antibiotic resistance within a population. It is an important aspect of public health, helping to determine the risk factors for developing an antibiotic-resistant illness, as well as helping to identify ways to reduce the spread of resistant bacteria. Investigating the epidemiology of resistance can help inform treatment options, antibiotic use, and public health initiatives that can help reduce the spread of drug-resistant infections and protect public health.
