Seizure

A seizure is an abnormal, uncontrolled electrical surge in the brain. It can cause involuntary jerking movements and altered consciousness, depending on the part of the brain that is affected. Seizures are caused by a number of conditions, including epilepsy, brain tumours, head trauma, and stroke. Seizure treatment typically involves medication aimed at reducing the frequency of seizures and minimising their impact, as well as lifestyle modifications to reduce the risk of seizures. Seizures are a serious medical condition and having a seizure can have a significant impact on quality of life and overall health. Early diagnosis and management can help people prevent and manage seizures, and reduce the risks associated with them.
