Gene Expression Analysis Using Invitro Assays
Gene expression analysis is a method of studying the regulation of gene activity at a molecular level. It involves measuring the activity of a gene in a cell, usually by determining the amount of the gene's messenger RNA product. Using invitro assays, gene activity of individual cells or tissues can be measured and compared to understand how genes are regulated in different cell types and under different conditions. This information can be used to gain insights into gene function, as well as to evaluate how drugs, diet, or other exposures may affect gene expression. It is also helpful in the diagnosis and monitoring of disease and can inform research into developing new treatments.
