Consolidated Framework for Implementation Research
The Consolidated Framework for Implementation Research (CFIR) is an evidence-based structured approach for assessing and facilitating the successful implementation of healthcare interventions. This systematic approach is an established step-by-step guide to organizing and evaluating processes, activities and outcomes in order to enhance the successful adoption and spread of evidence-based practices. CFIR provides guidance on how to identify barriers, understand contextual factors, and tailor interventions to diverse settings. The framework is used to inform practice, inform policy and promote the development of deeper insights into the complexities of implementation. CFIR is used across various healthcare settings and research contexts to effectively support the adoption of evidence-based interventions.
