Cardia

Cardiology is the branch of medicine that focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of diseases related to the heart and circulatory system. One of the most common conditions that affect the cardiac system is hypertension, also known as high blood pressure. Hypertension is a chronic condition in which the blood pressure in the arteries is elevated above the recommended level. When the pressure in the arteries is too high, it can cause damage to the blood vessels and increase the risk of serious complications such as stroke, heart attack, and heart failure. The most common causes of hypertension include lifestyle factors such as obesity, lack of exercise, and a diet high in salt and alcohol. Other contributing factors may include genetics, age, and underlying medical conditions such as kidney disease and diabetes. If left untreated, hypertension can lead to serious complications and may even be life-threatening.
