Intestinal Pseudo-obstruction

Intestinal pseudo-obstruction is a disorder that occurs when the small or large intestines are unable to pass food and liquid due to an obstruction that is not caused by an actual blockage. This disorder can cause a range of symptoms, including nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, bloating, and constipation. Treatment for this disorder includes an appropriate diet, medications to enhance gut motility, and in some cases, surgical intervention. It is important to diagnose and treat this disorder early, as it can have serious long-term complications if left untreated. Intestinal pseudo-obstruction is a rare disorder, but it is important to be aware of it and seek medical attention if any of its symptoms appear.
