Obesity
Obesity is an unhealthy condition in which an individual has excess body fat. It is a major public health issue, and increases one's risk of developing a number of diseases, such as type 2 diabetes, heart disease, stroke, and some types of cancer. In order to prevent obesity and related health problems, it is important to maintain a healthy diet and lifestyle, including regular physical activity. Treatment for obesity may involve changes to diet and exercise, or may require medications or weight-loss surgery.
