Visual Impairments

Visual Impairments refer to any type of visual disability, such as low vision, colour blindness, and blindness. These impairments significantly impact a person's ability to read, write, and perform everyday tasks. People affected by visual impairments may rely on accessibility technology, such as screen readers, Braille and tactile displays, and speech recognition, to compensate for their limited vision. With the right tools and techniques, visually impaired people are able to continue learning and working productively. Accessibility technology is an important resource to support people with visual impairments to live as independently as possible.
