Sry Box
4 SRY Box 4 is a gene located on the human X chromosome that is responsible for male sexual determination. Specifically, it is involved in the early stages of embryonic development when the gonads are formed, resulting in the development of either testes or ovaries. Mutations in this gene can lead to sex reversal in a male fetus, so it is an important regulator of normal development. SRY Box 4 has also been linked to fertility in males, and its expression can be used as a biomarker for testing male infertility. As a result, SRY Box 4 has been studied extensively to understand its role in sex determination and fertility.
