Science of Genetics

Genetics is the science that studies heredity and variation. It is a fundamental subject of biology and has many practical applications from medicine to agriculture. Through understanding genetics, scientists can identify inherited diseases and develop treatments, study evolution, create superior crops, and even clone organisms. Genetics also helps us to better understand our own ancestry and has the potential to improve the quality of life for all living things.
