Introns

Introns are non-coding sections of DNA found within the coding regions of genes. They are involved in various processes that are essential for diverse physiological and biochemical reactions within the human body. Introns play a key role in regulating gene expression and controlling gene splicing; they have a significant influence on the amount and type of protein that is synthesized. They also play an important role in controlling the structure of RNA and helping to ensure the accuracy of its translation. Introns have been the focus of a significant amount of research in recent years due to their potential applications in the fields of gene therapy, personalized medicine, and biotechnology.
