Functional Genomics
Functional genomics is the study of how genes function in the genome to determine their effects on an individual or species. This approach uses a range of methods to analyze the genetic and molecular components of an organism or cell, with the aim of understanding the broader biological roles and relationships among genes. The insights gained through functional genomics allow us to better target therapeutics and remedies, as well as to design new strategies for precision medicine. It has enabled us to identify new genes, understand disease processes, and develop personalized treatments, contributing to better healthcare.
