Blue Native Polyacrylamide Gel Electrophoresis
Blue Native Polyacrylamide Gel Electrophoresis (BN-PAGE) is a technique used in biochemistry to analyze protein complexes. It separates large protein complexes of greater than 500kDa in size and provides information on their complex structure and quaternary interactions. BN-PAGE is useful in the study of membrane proteins and protein folding. It can also be used to measure the levels of enzymatic complexes and gene expression. Additionally, BN-PAGE can be used to analyze the binding of other proteins and molecules to target proteins and detect protein post-translational modifications. This technique is a valuable tool in the study of protein complexes and can help gain a better understanding of many important biological processes.
