Lactobacillus
Lactobacillus is a species of gram-positive bacteria that naturally occur in the gastrointestinal tract and vagina of mammals, as well as in various types of food and fermented beverages. They are known for their numerous beneficial effects on health, such as production of nutrients and vitamins, prevention of pathogens and promotion of digestive health. In addition, they can be used in the production of bioproducts, including food preservatives, probiotics, bioplastics, and animal feed.
