Fetal Anomalies
Fetal anomalies refer to any birth defects or developmental abnormalities that a fetus may have. These issues can range from heart defects to birthmarks. Diagnosing fetal anomalies can be important in the determining the health and well-being of a baby since many of the birth defects can affect the infant's growth and development. Early diagnosis and intervention can improve the chances of treating some of the conditions and resulting in a healthy newborn. Ultrasound and other tests can be used to detect fetal anomalies as early as possible in pregnancy, allowing for the best possible outcome for the baby.
